Treatability Studies

Treatability studies are a vital component in the design process for water and wastewater processes. These small scale tests are conducted in laboratories and provide a valuable insight into the behaviour of a proposed water treatment process. Due to their size they are a cost-effective solution for assessing the viability of your solution prior to full-scale application.

In our fully equipped laboratory we are able to conduct studies for a range of treatment processes including:

Membrane Studies (MF/UF/NF/RO/FO)

We are able to conduct studies across a full range of membrane types. Membrane treatability studies may look at different membrane types and manufacturers, operating conditions, such a flux and recovery and the efficacy of chemical addition for pre-treatment, scale control or biofouling inhibition.

Jar Testing

Our jar testing capabilities include assessment for chemical dosing, coagulation and flocculation and dissolved air flotation and working with our clients we are able to develop specific protocols to suit your needs for assessing chemical type, dosage, equipment type and operating parameters.

Ion Exchange

Laboratory testing and analysis of your ion exchange resin on a periodic basis is recommended to help ensure your treatment system is operating optimally. Resin testing can help determine the quality of your resin and help diagnose any operating or fouling problems. We are able to perform isotherm and total exchange capacity test as well as determining limits of removal and regeneration.
