We’re proud to introduce our latest tool – our 8″ Single Element Reverse Osmosis (SERO) System, designed specifically for pilot testing, standardized flux measurement, and whole module cleaning studies.

Key Technical Details:

    • Feed Flow rates: up to 20 m3/h
    • Feed Pressure: 20 bar
    • Single 8” BWRO, SWRO and NF membranes
    • Monitoring and control of feed water flow rates, pressures, conductivity and temperature.

We are currently using this flexible rig for

    • Standardized Flux Measurement: Standardized flux and salt rejection testing are crucial for assessing the condition of reverse osmosis (RO) systems. Flux testing measures water permeation through the membrane, identifying potential fouling issues, while salt rejection testing evaluates the system’s ability to remove dissolved salts and membrane degradation. By comparing to the manufacturers standardized performance, these tests allow us to benchmark the membrane system independently of the water quality.
    • Dye Testing: Dye testing in membrane systems involves introducing coloured dyes to trace detect leaks and mechanical damage within the membrane system. This visual assessment enhances the overall integrity and reliability of the membrane water treatment process.
    • Evaluation of Cleaning Protocols: The system is equipped to be able to test different cleaning programs, before they are tested in the field.

Stay tuned as we delve deeper into the some of our expanding capabilities. We also have this system available to rent if you want to test your plant at a higher performance level but don’t want to risk your main system.
