Column Testing

Ion exchange column testing is used to evaluate the performance of ion exchange processes in water treatment. During column testing, water containing specific ions or contaminants is passed through ion exchange resin columns. By measuring the concentration of ions in the influent and effluent streams, the effectiveness of ion exchange resin in removing target ions can be quantified.

Column testing provides valuable insights into resin capacity, kinetics, leakage, competitive adsorption, and breakthrough behaviour, helping to optimise ion exchange processes for various water treatment applications.

We have a range of ion exchange columns from small benchtop rigs for developmental scale to full bed-depth columns and on-site pilot systems.
