Water treatment studies
Water treatment studies are an important step in the design process for water and wastewater processes. These small scale tests are conducted in laboratories and provide insights into the behaviour of a proposed water treatment system. Due to their size, they are a cost-effective solution for assessing viability prior to full-scale application.
In our fully equipped laboratory we can conduct studies for a range of treatment processes including:
MEMBRANE STUDIES
Studies are conducted across a full range of membrane types. Membrane treatability studies may look at different membrane types and manufacturers, operating conditions, such as flux and recovery, and the efficacy of chemical addition for pre-treatment, scale control or biofouling inhibition.
JAR TESTING
Our jar testing capabilities include assessment for chemical dosing, coagulation and flocculation, and dissolved air flotation. We work with our clients to develop specific protocols for assessing chemical type, dosage, equipment type and operating parameters.
ION EXCHANGE
Laboratory testing of ion exchange resins is important to select the right resin, compare different manufacturers and validate expected effluent water quality. Leakage measurements can help determine what lower limits of your system might be and breakthrough curves can be used to determine expected operating capacities.
