Iron and Aluminium cleaner (Liquid)
This advanced iron cleaner breaks down and dissolves iron and aluminium oxides from the membrane surface and effectively removes it from the system. Often in highly fouled systems the iron consolidates and its not possible to remove using citric or hydrochloric acid. This product, however can continue to remove iron where other cleaners are not effective.

Safety and Handling
Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area. Keep containers closed. Wash contaminated clothes before re-use. Wash thoroughly after handling. For more information, see the Safety Data Sheet provided with this product.
Chemical Feeding and Control
- Always flush the system with permeate water before commencing a CIP. The cleaning solution should be prepared using RO permeate water that is free of residual chlorine or other oxidising agents.Â
- Add a 2 % by weight solution. Adjust the pH to < 2.5 by adding more chemical if needed. Recirculate the cleaning solution throughout the system, after redirecting the first 20% of the solution to drain.Â
- Cleaning efficacy can be further improved by heating the cleaning solution.
- Your Membrane Works representative will assist with procedures and instructions, as needed.
