UF Membrane Cleaner (PVDF Powder Formulation)
Chlorinated high pH powder MF/UF membrane cleaner for removal of heavy biological and organic fouling. Designed to solve UF fouling issues when hypochorite is no longer effective.Contains a combination of surfactants, dispersants, chelants and oxidants to break down severe organic fouling. With support from Membrane works we can help clean both surface fouling and blocked pores.
Compatible with most PVDF membranes.

Safety and Handling
Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area. Keep containers closed. Wash contaminated clothes before re-use. Wash thoroughly after handling. For more information, see the Safety Data Sheet provided with this product.
Chemical Feeding and Control
- Prepare cleaning solution using MF/UF filtrate. For best results, avoid using high hardness water. Add AWC UF-429 in a ~1–2% by weight solution, depending on severity of fouling.
- Heating the solution to the maximum temperature allowed by the module manufacturer will enhance cleaning results.
- If back-flushing is permissible by the manufacturer, cleaning results may be enhanced by back flushing the cleaning solution from the filtrate to the feed for 15 minutes.
